• The Shadows is the first National Trust for Historic Preservation site in the Gulf South. The home and garden are as breathtaking as the history preserved here.

    • Thursday - Saturday: 10am–4pm
    • Self guided, grounds only tours begin every 30 minutes. First tour at 10:15, last tour at 3:15.

Information & Admission Rates

  • Visitors will receive a brochure detailing the Weeks family and enslaved people who lived and worked at the Shadows and the sugar making process in order to create a better interpretive experience.
  • Tours begin at the Shadows Visitor Center (320 E. Main Street), whichi is directly across the street from the Shadows.
  • The Shadows is encouraging visitors to purchase tickets ONLINE.

Gardens Only Access

  • Senior (65 +): $6.50
  • Adult (18 – 64): $8.50
  • Student (6 – 17): $4.75

Health & Safety Measures

  • Garden tours will be limited to NO MORE than 6 people
  • Shadows Visitor Center, gardens, and restroom building have all been thoroughly cleaned and sanitized
  • Shadows Staff installed shields around the front desk in the Shadows Visitor Center, providing an additional protective barrier between Shadows Staff and visitors
  • The Shadows is encouraging visitors to wear masks when onsite and if social distancing is not possible
  • Shadows Staff will be required to wear masks when onsite and participate in a vigorous cleaning and sanitizing schedule. Hand sanitizer and masks will be available for visitors to use
