Join us at Shadows-on-the-Teche for a glowing educational family program exploring the meaning of faith through light! Discover the significance of light in African American spiritual practices, then design and create your own paper lantern—a symbol of the optimism we all carry within. Bring it to life as we light them up together!
The program will take place at the Shadows Visitor Center (320 E. Main Street, New Iberia) on Saturday, July 18, from 10:00–11:00 a.m. Admission is $10 per family and advanced registration is encouraged as space is limited.
The program is suitable for all ages: older children can craft their own lanterns, while younger ones can create alongside a grown-up. All supplies needed for the program will be provided.
